Congressman Rick Renzi Schedule:
Congressman Rick Renzi (AZ-1) will visit several towns & chapters on the Navajo Nation as well as other rural Arizona communities including Williams, Seligman, Ash Fork, Skull Valley, & Prescott.
On Wednesday May 31st, Congressman Renzi will travel to Cornfields to congratulate Vernalda Haskie, who received an appointment to West Point Military Academy. He will visit Burnside for Coffee with the Congressman event at Ganado High School & will then attend a Coffee with the Congressman in both Nazlini & Steamboat.
On Thursday June 1st, Congressman Renzi will be in Williams for a tour of the Williams airport. Congressman Renzi has introduced legislation in the House of Representatives to convey airport land owned by the federal government to the City of Williams. The goal of the legislation is to encourage jobs, generate additional airport revenue & help the Williams' economy grow. The measure will expand the use of the Williams airport, & provide the city with flexibility to use the surrounding property for an industrial park & other airport facilities.
After the event in Williams, Renzi will travel to Seligman for Coffee with the Congressman at the Seligman Public Library. Renzi will then travel to Ash Fork for a tour of a saw mill under construction that will aid in forest thinning & produce wood pellets & other bio-mass fuels. Congressman Renzi has pushed for the increased use of biomass energy made from forest waste to replace or supplement traditional sources of energy. Renzi noted that bio-mass will not only help provide affordable energy, it would also keep manufacturing jobs in America. Congressman Renzi will then travel to Skull Valley for Coffee with the Congressman at the Skull Valley Community Hall at the Skull Elementary School. Congressman Renzi will also be traveling to Peeples Valley to meet with the Peeples Valley Fire Department & will host a Coffee with the Congressman in Congress, AZ.
On June 2nd, Congressman Renzi will be in Chino Valley for Coffee with the Congressman at the Senior Center at Town Hall (Chino Valley Civic Center).
