26th Annual Governor’s Conference on Tourism
Hundreds of tourism professionals will be gathering in Tucson July 10th-12th for the 2006 Governor’s Conference on Tourism, located at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson. The Governor’s Conference on Tourism is the industry’s largest annual event, with more than 500 industry professionals. International speaker Robert Stevenson will discuss winning strategies, techniques & methods at the 1st general session on Tuesday. Opening the conference on Tuesday morning at 8 a.m., is AOT Director Margie Emmermann will present the “State of the Industry Address,” revealing the 2005 year-end visitation numbers & a preview of what’s on the horizon.
At the conference, Gov. Napolitano will announce the 2006 Governor’s Tourism Award recipients during a luncheon ceremony on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. These awards recognize outstanding service & achievements in the industry, & highlights program success in different areas.
