Mesa Might Get Wi-Fi Network

The city of Mesa is seeking a way to establish a citywide wireless network. The Downtown Mesa Association's board of directors last month endorsed a wireless plan that would include downtown & be paid for by private advertisers &/or sponsors. Expect the city of Mesa to issue a Request for Proposals for a privately financed, owned & operated broadband digital Wi-Fi Network for use by city staff, residents, businesses, schools & community organizations in coming months.
