Lost But Found

Darren Indelicato became lost Sunday while hunting for antlers in the forest south of Control Road. After not returning to the vehicle that afternoon his friend searched several hours for him, then called the Gila Co. Sheriff's Office at 7 p.m. A search was started utilizing Tonto Rim Search & Rescue & a DPS helicopter. The helicopter located him from his campfire at 10 p.m. & radioed his coordinates to the deputies. Tonto Rim S & R personnel made their way to him by ATV & by foot at 12:20 a.m. They escorted him out to Control Road at 1:35 a.m. & he was transported to his home in Payson.
