Ironwood-Gantzell Construction Alert

This is a series of construction alerts that will be issued throughout the construction of the Ironwood-Gantzel Roadway Improvement Project. These alerts will announce construction, detour, & closure information as it affects traffic. Motorists are asked to obey all posted speed limit signs at 25 MPH.

1. NIGHT WORK - Beginning, May 1st, through May 4th, segments of Ironwood & Ocotillo Roads will be closed intermittently from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. to allow construction crews to complete conduit work for new traffic signals.

Closure information is as follows:

Monday, May 1st - Ironwood between Ocotillo & Pima will be closed. Motorists are advised to take Ocotillo to Kenworthy to Pima as an alternate route.
Tuesday, May 2nd - Ocotillo will be closed from Ironwood east to Kenworthy with access only for local traffic. Motorists are advised to take Ironwood to Pima to Kenworthy as an alternate route.
Wednesday, May 3rd - Ironwood will be closed from Ocotillo south to Marilyn Way. Motorists are advised to take Ocotillo to Prince to Marilyn as an alternate route.
Thursday, May 4th - Ocotillo will be closed from Ironwood west to Prince. Motorists are advised to take Ironwood to Marilyn to Prince as an alternate route.

2. REDUCED SPEED - Due to the presence of construction personnel within the construction zone, motorists are asked to pay special attention to reduced speed limits as they travel through the area. Sheriff's officers will be vigilantly monitoring the construction zone.
