100,000 Expected

The pro-immigrant demonstration planned for downtown Phoenix this Monday starts at the Az. State Fairground & ends with a rally at Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza, organizers said. There are 100,000 expected to take part in the demonstration, in support of comprehensive immigration reform, & will pass near buildings where thousands of state employees work, as well as city, municipal & federal court buildings, but far enough from downtown. Marchers will begin gathering at 11 a.m. at the fairgrounds, then the march will begin at 1 p.m., organizers will lead marchers along Grand Ave. to Van Buren Street & then West on Washington Street to Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza. Following the rally, marchers will walk back to the fairgrounds West on Adams Street & then North on 19th Ave.
