"Three Strikes'' Law On It's Way?

The Senate has voted to ask Arizona voters to approve a "three strikes'' law on a measure to get tough on violent crime by requiring life sentences for felons convicted twice before of violent or certain other serious crimes. This measure would require life term sentence's for a third conviction for any variety of offenses. No early release would be permitted except for commutation of sentence after 35 years.
