Railroad Depot Future

Input is being asked for the future use of the depot's use, post rehabilitation. Their will be a public meeting April 6th, at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the Globe City Hall (150 N. Pine St. in downtown Globe). Previous ideas & any current ideas will be brought up during this time. One idea brought up was a combined transportation museum/restaurant. Keep in mind, due to the funding given & the lease agreement, there are requirements to follow. Upon rehabilitation, (A) Must be a publicly accessible private enterprise that generates some regular income for the taxpayers & the Az. Eastern Railway Co., (B) Must incorporate some appreciation for transportation history of our community, & (C) Ought to be a use that adds to the positive character & pride of our historic downtown. The city looks forward to receiving interested peoples ideas for this project's end use.
