New Children, Youth, & Families Executive Director

Governor Janet Napolitano has appointed Irene Jacobs to serve as Executive Director of the Governor's Office for Children, Youth, & Families. Jacobs will also function as a senior policy adviser to the Governor. Jacobs has been Deputy Director of the Governor's Office for Children, Youth, & Families (GOCYF) & Director of the State School Readiness Board. She has an extensive background with organizations assisting children, youth, & families. Jacobs will oversee the Governor’s Division for Substance Abuse Policy, Division for Community & Youth Development, Division for Children, Division for Women, the State School Readiness Board, Community & Faith Based Initiatives, & Benefits CheckUp.
