Community Planning Disaster Preparedness Seminar
Make plans to attend a community planning disaster preparedness seminar on March 10th. The University of Arizona Planning Degree Program is now registering attendees for “Hurricane Katrina: The Storm that Toppled FEMA.”
The presentation features Karen Fernandez, Planning Consultant and New Orleanian, Professor John Messina, A.I.A, and will be moderated by Barbara Becker, PhD, F.A.I.C.P. It seeks to answer: How effective are reconstruction efforts? What have planners, designers, and governmental officials learned? Can we do it better next time?
