Boyce Thompson Arboretum Closed Indefinitely

Due to the unusual weather this past weekend at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, they had to close the entire arboretum all day sunday due to dangerous conditions across much of the trail system, such as, many downed trees and limbs because of the heavy, wet snow saturday afternoon and saturday night. Extensive damage was done to the grove of mature olive trees, also to palo verdes and eucalyptus trees in various collections. The trails remain closed today, March 13th and until further notice. Admission is being waived if people just want to drive up and buy plants at the visitor center. Admission will resume when trails reopen.
