Southwest Gas Customer Be Warned

This month Southwest Gas has put into effect a 9-cent surcharge to offset its higher costs of buying natural gas. This increase was approved by the Arizona Corporation Commission to help the utility begin paying down a deficit it has built as a result of the higher costs from its suppliers. A typical February bill for 55 therms will increase from $71.18 to $76.13, or $4.95. A typical August bill for 10 therms would increase from $19.72 to $20.62.
