Arizona Office Of Tourism Teams With NASCAR

The Arizona Office of Tourism (AOT) is partnering with Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) to present the ARIZONA TRAVEL 200 NASCAR Busch Series Race on Saturday, November 11, 2006, AOT Director Margie Emmermann will announce in a press conference on February 25 at the California Speedway. The ARIZONA.TRAVEL 200 is the third of four races during the November NASCAR weekend at PIR. This race will be the semi-final showdown in the 2006 NASCAR Busch Series season and could potentially crown the 2006 Champion.

AOT's sponsorship agreement with PIR enables the agency to reach racing fans before they come to Arizona through direct marketing and PIR’s aggressive advertising campaign. By getting Arizona travel information in the hands of race fans before they make travel plans, AOT is able to influence their decisions and encourage pre-or post-race trips around the state.
