Albertson's has agrees to sell the supermarket chain to grocer Supervalu and drug retailer CVS Corp. for more than $17 billion dollars in cash, stock and debt assumption. Supervalu is taking over most of Albertson's grocery stores, and CVS will gain Albertson's stand-alone drug-store business. The other purchasers under this group are Kimco Realty Corp., Schottenstein Stores Corp., Lubert-Adler Partners, and Klaff Realty.
