The Arizona Diamondbacks announced they've avoided salary arbitration by agreeing to terms with righthanded pitchers Brandon Lyon & Claudio Vargas, catcher Johnny Estrada & infielders Orlando Hudson & Alex Cintron on one-year contracts.

The Diamondbacks will be a part of two games being played in Yuma, Arizona during Spring Training. The first game will be held on Saturday, March 25, a split squad contest between the Diamondbacks and the San Diego Padres. The second matchup is being billed as a "Stars of the Future" event in which a team of Arizona minor leaguers will face their counterparts from San Diego's organization on Sunday, March 26. Both games will be held at 1:05 pm Mountain Standard Time at Desert Sun Stadium and are being presented by the Caballeros de Yuma. Tickets will go on sale on February 6th and can be purchased at the Caballeros' office during normal business hours.
