The Globe-Miami Regional Chamber of Commerce & EDC mixer is Tuesday, December 6, and is co-hosted by the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts Friends and Associates. It’s from 5:30 until 7:30pm.

Gila County Rabies Control says several people were attacked by a grey fox last Friday in the Rose Creek area. The fox was killed and has been confirmed to have rabies. Anybody who believes they've had contact with the fox should call the Gila County Rabies Control at 402-8873. Gila County Rabies Control wants to remind residents to never handle any species of wild animal. If you find a sick, dead, or injured wild animal, call your local animal control officer.

There is a Farmers' Market, today from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the former Star Video building and lot at Mesquite and Broad streets. In addition to fresh produce, there will be plants, baked goods, jams, jellies, art, antiques, and holiday gift items for sale. In addition, there will be free hot cocoa and cider.

Begining Friday Dec. 9th at 5:30 p.m. with Christmas Tree Lighting,exhibits decorated with a "Samll Town Christmas" theme, prizes will be awarded. Saturday 10a-2p, games entertainment, free lunch with a visit from Santa Claus at 10:30 a.m. Picture with Santa Claus available for 1 can of food.

At 6pm, Dec. 10, in Downtown Globe is the Christmas Light Parade, and after the light parade be sure to shop downtown and take advantage of the many discounts offered by the local merchants.
