Pinal County Construction

Construction to realign Hunt Highway and Ellsworth Road in the San Tan Heights-Johnson Ranch area will be continuing through February 2006. The initial construction will concentrate on the curve portion of the roadway as traffic is maintained on the existing road alignments. After the curve is substantially complete, traffic will be rerouted to allow work on the "tie-ins" to the existing road alignments. Motorists can expect delays during the construction period and are urged to use caution while traveling through the construction zone. Funding for the project is from revenues from Pinal County's transportation tax and is made possible by your "Yes" vote on Proposition 400. Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Sandie Smith is pleased that money is available for such a project. "The completion of this vital road upgrade is one of a series of road improvements using the 1/2 cent sales tax money for roads that will continue to address the regional traffic concerns." The Public Works Department thanks you for your patience as improvements to the roadways are made.
