Ex-Pinal County Detention Officer & Sister Indicted

A former Pinal County Sheriff's Office jail detention officer who resigned two years ago and her sister were indicted by the Arizona Attorney General on Dec. 14 on the allegations of embezzling about $55,000. Sylvia Martinez, was charged with two counts of theft, and one count each of fraudulent schemes, misuse of public money, and tampering, after an investigation by the Arizona Auditor General's Office. Her sister, Cynthia MacDonald, was indicted on one count of theft.
